How a Three-Week Deadline Became a Defining Brand Moment

The Opportunity

The email landed in our inbox in early 2025:

"Hi North Fifth Media, We have a commercial we'd like to produce on a tight timeline for a recently solidified partnership with the Dallas Wings. We are currently gathering bids from production companies in both NYC and LA..."

A telehealth company was evaluating production companies across two coasts. This wasn't just another commercial—it was a brand-defining moment tied to professional sports, accessible healthcare, and the WNBA.

We responded immediately.

Our approach was unconventional: before shooting a single frame, we built a complete previsualized edit. We pulled over 40 commercial references, extracted actual shots, and assembled them into a working cut that showed the client exactly what we intended to create.

This "pre-edit" became our blueprint—guiding shot design, pacing, emotional beats, and the signature whip-pan transitions that would connect each chapter of the protagonist's life.

Within two weeks of the initial RFP, we were on set.

Execution Under Pressure

We relied on what we'd built over years: a trusted network of cast, crew, and curated locations. Our five-person team executed a three-location shoot in under twelve hours.

On set, we collaborated closely with the client's Marketing Director. She knew exactly what she wanted—and when she didn't, she trusted our instincts. That trust was crucial. Creative work moves fastest when decisions don't require three layers of approval.

Immediately after wrapping, we entered post-production. The previs roadmap we'd built kept us efficient. No second-guessing. No wasted renders.
